Karuna Healthcare
History:
Karuna Healthcare was born as a dream project in the minds of a
small group of friends from India and Nepal in 2008. Then, it was called
Swasthya, the Centre for Health and Happiness. These friends were Ruchi Saxena,
Pradeep Dhakal, Santosh KC, Rupali Gurav, Ashok Ware, and Pradeep Shetty. They
had supporters in the form of their families and well-wishers who still stand
by them through every step.
There was only one thought behind conceiving Karuna and that was
to explore the healing energies in the Universe and bring it to the relief of
those who need it the most. We could see nature was standing with its arms wide
open to welcome everyone who wanted to use her prowess in healing and we wanted
to embrace all of these.
What was observed is that there are loads of ways this can be
done. We found doctors and therapists all over the world already exploring the
goodness of modern medicine, homoeopathy, ayurveda, acupressure, herbs, yoga
and meditation for healing. Some of us were already professionals in some of
these fields. So we decided to learn the rest of them, join hands with more
healers, make a team and lay the foundation for Integrated Holistic Medicine
through scientific therapeutic protocols.
2 years of work in this development ultimately led to the establishment
of Karuna Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. in 2010 at Maharajgunj, Kathmandu, Nepal. Since
then, fortunately enough, we are being exposed to opportunities that allow us
to introduce our work to people. From here on, we pledge to take it further
through its mission and see Karuna grow to its fullest potential.
